Close Trip Follows Strong Performance for Men's Tennis

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The IPFW men's tennis team, fresh off of a dynamic performance at the IU Hoosier Invitational, take to the road for the third consecutive weekend; however, this weekends' travel sends the squad down I-69 to the Ball State Invitational on September 26 and 27.

In addition to Ball State and IPFW, the remaining six teams in the two-day field include Butler, Chicago State, Dayton, IUPUI, Marquette, and Indianapolis.

Leading the way for the Mastodons this season has been Karl Wangensten-Oye, who is 7-1 with a flight championship at Northern Kentucky while winning the backdraw bracket at Indiana. Martin Muadi is 5-2 on the year. Tom Sizeland has a winning record at 4-3, while two others - Daniel Cardenas and Jonathan Raa - are an even 3-3.
The doubles pair of Gerard Guell and Muadi are 5-2 including a flight championship at Indiana, with three other pairs - Raa/Wangensten-Oye, Sizeland/do Val, and Sizeland/Wangensten-Oye - are each 1-1.
