Built in 1999, and resurfaced in 2006, IPFW's tennis teams play on six well maintained and lighted tennis courts. The tennis courts are located just north of Mastodon Field. Hours for the tennis courts are from dawn to 11 p.m. Lighting comes on automatically at sunset.

In 2008, an electronic scoreboard and viewing area were added to the tennis facility and on April 15 of that year it was dedicated in the honor of donors Dr. Rudy and Rhonda Kachmann. The Dr. Rudy & Rhonda Kachmann Tennis Center is one of the finest facilities in The Summit League and the only one that boasts electronic scoring.
