Women’s Tennis takes Winning Streak to Bradley

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The IPFW women's tennis team will play two matches on Sunday, March 10. The first contest will be against Green Bay at 10 a.m. with the second coming against host school Bradley at 1 p.m.
The Mastodons have won three straight matches by defeating Manhattan 7-0, St. Bonaventure 5-2, and Niagara 6-1.
Miloslava Shustova continues to have a great season as she posts an overall singles record of 11-1. Caterina Kiefer is 8-3 in singles play and both Anita Henestrosa and Marcy Huck hold overall records of 7-5.
IPFW has played well in doubles competition this season posting a team record of 24-12. The top team of Kiefer and Henestrosa are 9-3 overall. Huck and Kristine Lindal are 8-4 and the tandem of Theresa Neumeyr and Shustova are 7-5.
ABOUT GREEN BAY
The Phoenix are 0-9 heading into the weekend. Their closest match for Green Bay this season was a 2-5 loss vs. IUPUI on Feb. 2. Stephanie Londre has two wins on the year in singles play to lead the team. Londre and Rachel Menos are the best doubles pair on the team. They have an overall record of 2-5.
ABOUT BRADLEY
The Braves are 4-5 on the year with wins over SIUE, IUPUI, Kalamazoo, and Valparaiso. They are currently on a two-match losing streak taking a 1-6 loss vs. Milwaukee and a 2-5 setback vs. Eastern Illinois.
Adele Henke and Carly Miles are the top two singles players on the roster. Henke is 9-8 overall and 5-5 in her last 10 matches. Miles is 8-8 on the year and 6-4 in her last ten.
The team of Miles and Kennedy Scott are 6-3 in doubles competition. Miles has been paired with other teammates throughout the season. She posts an 11-7 mark in doubles action.
