Men's Tennis Inks DePree for 2012-13 Season

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The IPFW men's tennis head coach, Eric Burns, announced the adding of Jeremy DePree for the 2012-13 roster earlier this week as he signed his National Letter of Intent to play for the Mastodons.
A native of Holland, Mich., DePree is currently a senior at Zeeland East High School where he has already compiled an impressive resume. DePree,a two-time team captain, set a school record for most overall wins with a record of 113-12.
DePree is currently ranked No. 111 in the Midwest in Boys 18 singles and has reached as high as No. 88 in the Boys 16 Singles. He qualified for the Midwest Closed (2011), received All-Conference for the OK Green (2011, 2010, 2009) and won conference at the No. 1 singles position (2011) and at No. 2 (2010, 2009).
DePree has also excelled in the classroom where he has a 3.98 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) and is ranked in the Top 10 of his class at Zeeland East.
“Jeremy has a great all-around game and we feel he can really help our team as we continue looking for the best players with high character to help lead our team to a conference title,” Burns said. “We are excited to welcome him to the team.”
