
IPFW Honors Student-Athletes at 2015 Awards Banquet

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Luis Bertran of the men's volleyball team and Emily Spencer of the women's volleyball team were recognized as the Male and Female Athletes of the Year at the 2015 IPFW Awards Banquet held at the Hotel Fort Wayne Marquis Ballroom.
The banquet honored members of every team, in addition to specific all-athletic awards.
The 2015 Senior Female Athlete of the Year was awarded to Hailey Seibert of the women's basketball team, and the Senior Male Athlete of the Year to Martin Muadi of the men's tennis program..
Gabe O'Keefe of the men's cross country program was named the Male Freshman of the Year, with Kiawna Cottrell being named the Female Freshman of the Year.
Ten IPFW student-athletes were recognized as David R. Skelton Award Nominees: Jordan Armstrong from men's volleyball, Tessa Edwards from women's soccer, Mike Enghofer from men's soccer, Mur Hagerman from women's basketball, Randy McComb from men's cross country, Hillary Moore from women's basketball, Lucas Salerno from baseball, Haley Seibert from women's basketball, Corey Tom from men's soccer, and Kendall Wienkes from women's volleyball. The winner of the 2015 David R. Skelton Award went to Jordan Armstrong from the men's volleyball program.
Jordan Armstrong of the men's volleyball team was the recipient of the Student-Athlete Sportsmanship Award, and the men's volleyball program earned a team honor as they won the 2015 Mastodon Cup.
Haley Seibert of the women's basketball program earned the Senior Academic Excellence Award. Emily Spencer and Mayu Sato were recognized on Sunday evening after earning the Ian and Mimi Rolland Award, an award given to any player who was named a Player of the Year in the conference.
The IPFW Student Athlete Leadership Team (SALT) Service to Student-Athletes Award went to Bob Brewer. The Tony Laux Volunteer of the Year award went to Krysta Hedrick, while the Fan of the Year was presented to Cameron Adams, Joe Lortie, and Craig Romano.
