2009 Walt Disney World Cross Country Classic Women's Results

Lake Bueva Vista, FL - Three IPFW runners placed in the Top-15 as the IPFW women's cross country team ran to a 3rd Place finish at the 2009 Walt Disney World Cross Country Classic on Saturday evening in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.

Thirty teams competed in the event which has been run for 14 straight years at the Disney World Complex.

Junior Felica Mondry was to Mastodons' top runner, placing 11th overall in a time of 19:24.80.  She was joined in the Top-15 by sophomore Sarah Hutchings and freshman Becca Selner.  Hutchings traversed the 5K course in a time of 19:29.50 for 13th place.  Selner finished right behind Hutching in 14th with a time of 19:32.30.

IPFW's fourth and fifth place runners were senior Elizabeth Hoekstra and sophomore Rachel Schultz.  Hoekstra took 34th spot with a 20:13.90.  Schultz was 35th at 20:16.50.

The 'Dons finished with a team total of 107.  The Kennesaw State Owls took the team title with a score of 79.  Central Florida was second (83), followed by the Mastodons, Florida Atlantic (116), Milligan (143) and the University of Miami (193).

The Mastodons next meet will be on Saturday, October 17th back in the state of Indiana.  The 'Dons will take part in the Sam Bell Invitational at Indiana University.
