Fort Wayne, IN-The IPFW men's and women's cross country teams each received Division I All-Academic Cross Country Team honors, as decided upon by the US Track and Field Coaches Association. To be eligible for the honor, teams had to compete in an NCAA Division I Regional meet, and earn a 3.0 or better cumulative, team GPA. The IPFW women's cross country team placed 34th on a list of 146 qualifying teams. The 'Dons share the 34th spot with Binghamton University, College of Charleston, Georgia State, Minnesota, and Western Michigan, all earning an impressive 3.46 GPA for the season. The BYU Cougars earned top honors for the women with a 3.73 GPA. On the men's side, IPFW placed 44th of 86 eligible teams, in a tie with Jacksonville State, with a 3.2 GPA. Earning a 3.707 GPA, Wright State took the top honors for the men's teams. The women's and men's teams competed in the NCAA Division I Great Lakes Regional meet in November, making them eligible for the All-Academic Team. The women placed 16th at the meet, while the men came in at 29th. ~Dons~
