2007 Season

Crystal was an integral part of IPFW's 2007 Summit League Co-Championship team. She placed sixth at the 2007 Summit League Championships in a time of 22:04. She was named All-Conference First Team. Crystal was also named to the 2007-08 Summit League Commissioner's List of Academic Excellence. She finished 4th at the Western Illinois Early Bird Invite (23:40). Ran a personal best 21:06.08 which was good enough for 10th place at the Pepperdine Cross Country Invitational. Finished in second place at the George Dales Invitational hosted by Western Michigan.

High School

Martinez was a four-time selection to the All-LAC. She earned an Academic Honors Diploma, proving herself in the classroom as well.

Personal

Crystal, the daughter of Ricardo and Daisy Aburto Martinez, is pursuing a degree in Business. She has three sisters, Erika, Jeanette, and Crystina.
