Kristen Farrell enters her second season as the Assistant Coach for the Women's Cross Country and Track & Field Teams.

Farrell (formerly Simpson) is a Fort Wayne native and graduated in 2002 from Northrop High School.

Kristen then attended IPFW, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing in 2006 with a G.P.A. of 3.96. While at IPFW, Kristen ran on the Cross Country and Track & Field Teams for four years. In Cross Country she is 7th on the 5K All-Time Top 10 list with a time of 19:04 and she is 5th on the 6K All-Time Top 10 list with a time of 22:41. For Track, Kristen ran the first leg of the current record holding 3200 Meter Relay team and is the former record holder in the Distance Medley Relay, 10K, and 5K races.

Coach Farrell is currently pursuing her Master in Business Administration at IPFW.
