High School: Steenhuysen was a finalist for the 2008 Michigan Miss Volleyball Award, finishing third overall in the voting...She is a three-time First Team All-State selection...Steenhuysen was named an American Volleyball Coaches' Association (AVCA) National Player of the Week for the week ending November 10...She is a four-time All-Region selection, and was named All-Conference three times...East Kentwood compiled a four-year record of 262-25 during her tenure...Also a stellar student, she was named to the Academic All-State team all four years...In 2006, was named by the Capital City Volleyball Club to the "Sophomore 79", listing the 79 best sophomores in the country...As a freshman led her team to the MHSAA State Title, and in 2008 her team lost in the MHSAA Quarterfinals to the eventual state champion Jenison.
