2006 Season

A captain, Martins wrapped up her junior campaign leading the `Dons in kills, kills/game, points, and double-doubles. Martins had 18 double-doubles while seeing action in 35 of the `Dons 36 matches. She had 410 kills, averaging 3.23 kills/game. Defensively, she added 444 digs, averaging 3.50 digs/game, four block solos and 54 block assists. Martins was named the Tournament MVP at the IPFW Invitational and was on the All-Tournament Teams at Omni William Penn and the Independent Championships. Martins was named to the Second Team All-Independent and was the Independent Offensive Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 31st.

2005 Season

Martins was a force not only offensively, but defensively as well in her sophomore campaign. She posted 221 kills with an average of 2.08 per game and dug up 333 balls. Martins posted "double-doubles" in 10 matches this season. She was named to All-Tournament teams at the Hofstra/Asics Invitational and IPFW's Invitational.

2004 Season

Martins made an instant impact in 2004. She recorded 292 kills (2.75 k/g), 335 digs (3.16), and 35 service aces.

Prep

Martins is a 2002 graduate of the Colegio Anchieta Newton Paiva. She was an outside hitter playing for coach Robson. In her junior and senior years Martins was named MVP. Martins also played club volleyball for Sparta Volei Club under coach Marcelo Melado.

Personal

Born September 5, 1984. Martins is the daughter of Altamiro and Maria Imaculada Martins. She has a brother, Rafael. Martins is majoring in Interior Design.
