Fort Wayne, IN - IPFW Women's Tennis was named an Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team while six 'Dons were individually named ITA Scholar-Athletes.
IPFW Women's Tennis received their 5th consecutive ITA All-Academic Award.
For a team to be eligible they must have a combined GPA of 3.20 or better for the academic year. The women wrapped up the 2006-07 season with a 3.32 GPA.
Four members of the Women's Tennis team were named ITA Scholar-Athletes. Hanna Hager wrapped up her junior campaign as a three-peat ITA Scholar-Athlete. Lisa Bartelheim, a recent graduate, Stacy Lish, a senior and Megan Rethlake, a junior, were all named ITA Scholar-Athletes for the first time.
For the men two were named to the list. Arturo Salgado, a senior, and David Lynall, a junior, were named Scholar-Athletes for the first time.
To be eligible as an ITA Scholar-Athlete a student-athlete must have a GPA of 3.5 or better for the year and must be a member of the team for a full season.
