Elmhurst, IL - IPFW freshman Courtney Cronin has been named to the All-Summit League Second team, announced at the conference tournament banquet on Thursday evening.

Cronin led IPFW with a 9-7 record in the circle, and a 1.85 earned run average. She struck out 108 batters in her 124.2 innings, while allowing just 31 walks. She set a new single-season school record with her five shutouts, while saving one game during the year.

Cronin is IPFW's second-ever selection to the All-Summit League team in their two years in the league, as Tara Mickelson was named to the second team as an outfielder a season ago.

IPFW ended the year with a 14-24 record, going 9-13 in conference action, finishing seventh in the league overall.

North Dakota State's Kelly Cantrell was named the league Player of the Year, as Western Illinois' Kamren Ferguson earned the Pitcher of the Year honors. Jamie Goss of Western Illinois was named the Newcomer of the Year, and Holly Van Vlymen, WIU's coach, was named Coach of the Year.
