Fort Wayne, IN-The Flyers took down the `Dons 4-1, 6-0 in a pair of games in Dayton this afternoon.

IPFW got their bats going in game one with eight hits, but left ten base runners stranded in the 4-1 defeat.

IPFW's lone run was recorded in the third off of a trio of singles by pitcher Kayla Powell, second baseman Abby Liden, and shortstop Ty Lambert.

Lambert ended up going 2 for 4 in the game, while centerfielder Beatrice Pedraza went 2 for 3.  Katy Stephens and Alysha Scheidt each singled to round out the IPFW hitting.

Dayton was led by right fielder Molly Meyer who went 3 for 3, and shortstop Maggie Stopka who was 2 for 3 with two RBI.

The loss puts Powell at 2-6 on the season.

Dayton pitcher Erin Lafayette held the Mastodons to six hits in game two to give the Flyers the shutout.

The `Dons couldn't manage to capitalize on any scoring opportunities, leaving eight on base.  Stephens was 2 for 3 in the game with a double.  Scheidt also doubled, while Liden, Jil Price, and Michelle Meighen each contributed a single.
