Dennis Smith begins his sixth season as IPFW's pitching coach.

Smith has participated in the game of fastpitch softball either as a player or coach for the last 20 years.

His playing accomplishments include competing in the Regional Tournament (1994) which was held in Kansas City, Missouri. From 1989-1997, Smith competed in the Iowa (ISC) State Tournament. He has coached at the High School level (1998) and also at the college level as pitching coach for Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa from 1996-1998.
