Fort Wayne, IN - IPFW goal keeper Shannon Lynn has been selected as the United Soccer Conference Defensive Player of the Week, as chosen by the USC sports information directors.

Lynn posted two shutouts as IPFW went 1-0-1 on the week.

Lynn made six saves in IPFW's 1-0 win over Mid-Con Leader Valparaiso.

She backed that up with an eight save performance in IPFW's 0-0 double overtime tie with IUPUI.

Lynn has not given up a goal in over 254 minutes.

The shutouts were her third and fourth of the year.

This is the second recognition for Lynn this season. It is her fifth USC career award.
