Aug. 29, 2008 Fort Wayne, IN- In a non-conference match against Eastern Michigan, the IPFW women's soccer team fell 3-0 Friday night in Ypsilanti, Michigan. The Mastodons move to 0-2 on the young season. The game was 0-0 after a hard fought first half in which freshman goalkeeper Megan McLaughlin had two saves. In the second half, however, the Dons could not find the back of the net. Eleven minutes into the half second half, Eastern Michigan's Katie Lozar put the Eagles on the board to make the score, 1-0. The score remained 1-0 until the 81st minute when Chelsea Detrick of Eastern Michigan netted another goal to put the Eagles up 2-0. Five minutes later, the Eagles added an insurance goal from Deana Kinter, which put the game out of reach for the Mastodons. Freshmen Kateri Till and Brittni Roy fired two shots apiece in the loss. Next up for the Dons is a road game this Sunday, at Wright State. Match time is set for 1 p.m.
