Rathsman Named an NGCA All-American Scholar

Rathsman Named an NGCA All-American Scholar
Coral Springs, FL -- IPFW freshman Alison Rathsman has been named a 2005-06 National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar.
The NGCA All-American Scholar Teams for Division I, II & III, with a total of 371 women's collegiate golfers recognized for this prestigious honor.
The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent of all college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50 and student-athletes must have competed in at least 50% (Division I) or 66% (Division II & III) of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year.
"From day one Alison came to IPFW and worked very hard on her academics as well as her golf game," said head golf coach Jeff Marsh. "Receiving the award as a freshman is nothing short of an outstanding effort on her part and I couldn't be prouder of Alison."
"She has a great work ethic in the classroom and the on the golf course and it has spilled over to the rest of the Women's Golf Team. Alison is one person who lets her academics and her golf game do her talking for her."
