Fort Wayne, IN - IPFW Golf donated a total of 11 pints of blood earlier this month as a team effort to the American Red Cross.

"This is something th team feels strongly about and is very aware that their donation of blood goes to help save someone's life." said Head Coach Jeff Marsh. "They are also aware that the blood they donate stays here in the community to save those lives and is a major reason that the blood drive continues each year. We are very happy to help out as much as possible."

This is the third year the Mastodons have donated blood. Over the three donation drives they have completed the 'Dons have donated over 35 pints of blood.

"This was a good opportunity for the whole team to go out and support the community." said Matt Fry. "Even though not everyone on the team could give blood, it was still a good event for the team to take part in."

"The blood drive was fun and I met new people while also helping the community." said Stephanie Hoppes.
