Women's Basketball Lends a Helping Hand at 2007 Heart Walk :: 'Dons Cheer on Participants at American Heart Association Event

Fort Wayne, IN-The IPFW women's basketball players and staff supported the walkers and runners of the 2007 Start! Heart Walk on IPFW's campus over the weekend.

The women's team encouraged the crowd of participants outside of the Walb Student Union. The Heart Walk benefited the American Heart Association in it's fight against heart disease.

"Our girls do an excellent job with community service and we were happy to help with the Heart Walk," enthused Assistant Coach Alex Webster. "It's a great event for a great cause."
