2005-06 Season: In her first season as a Mastodon, Pletková saw action in 16 games. She averaged 1.7 ppg and 1.0 rpg. Pletková hit a personal best six free throws against Longwood University on January 28, 2006. She also set two personal bests against Kalamazoo College on December 2nd with two steals and eight points. Pletková was named to the 05-06 Division I Independent Women's Basketball All-Academic Team with a 3.33 GPA in Electrical Engineering. While at Yavapai: Pletková excelled on and off the court while at Yavapai J.C. As a Roughrider she averaged 8 ppg, 5 rpg and 4 apg. She was a NJCAA First Team Academic All-American. She was the captain from 2003-05 and her freshman year they went 21-10. Sophomore year they improved to 26-5. Both years Yavapai was nationally ranked and had win streaks of 10 and 14 games respectively. In conference action they were second to Central Arizona College, who were the national champions. Off the court, Pletková was in Yavapai's Honor's Program and held a 4.0. She graduated with honors and at the top of her class, receiving an Associate of Science degree with her focus on electrical engineering. Pletková was the associate concertmaster in the Yavapai Symphony Orchestra and plays the violin. Prep: Pletková was a National Achievement Commended Scholar while at Lake Braddock Secondary in Burke, Virginia. Personal: Born October 13, 1982. Pletková is the daughter of Radovan Pletka and Christine Pletková. She has two brothers, Radovan Jr. and Petr. Pletková is majoring in electrical engineering at IPFW. |
