2007-08: Played in 22 games, starting a quartet of them...scored her first points as an IPFW Mastodon on November 13 at Texas Tech, where she also pulled down a career-high seven rebounds...blocked three shots at Wisconsin on December 2...scored seven points against Southern Utah on December 6...poured in seven points on February 9 at Oral Roberts...dished out a season-high four assists on February 11 at Centenary...scored a career-high 11 points in a season-high 26 minutes at UMKC on March 3, as she hit 4-of-12 shots from the field and pulled down a half dozen rebounds.

Prior to IPFW: O'Connell played two seasons at Kirkwood Community College, helping the squad to the NJCAA National Championship after a 35-1 overall record...she averaged eight points and four rebounds, while shooting 51 percent from the field and 32 percent from long range...she was named to the all-conference squad in her final season.

High School: Helped Xavier High School to two state championships, as a sophomore and senior...as a senior she was named to the 3A All-State team, the All-MVC Conference team, and the All-Metro team...was the 3A All-Tournament team captain, and was a nominee for Athlete of the Year...her senior year squad went 26-1 overall.

Personal: Is the daughter of Steve and Pat O'Connell...has four brothers and sisters, Shamus, Anna, Connor and Daniel...majoring in communications.
