Before Coming to IPFW: Malfait can play either center or power forward for the `Dons. She currently plays on the Belgium National Team and is an overall marvelous athlete. As a member of the Belgium National Team, Malfait participated with the team at the European Championship in 2006 in Hungary. Belgium placed 5th of 13 teams at the championships. Malfait is also a captain for the Belgium National Team.

Personal: Born October 4, 1987. Malfait is the daughter of Patrick Malfait and Marika Qasparowix and has two brothers, Hannes and Aaron. Malfait plans on majoring in education while at IPFW.
