Brookings, SD-Two Mastodons, Junior Hunter Paris and Senior Andrew Gritzmaker, were named to the 2006 Independent All-Academic Cross Country Team. 

Paris, a Biology major, made the cut with a 3.94 GPA.  Gritzmaker, a Health Services Administration major, currently holds a 3.68 GPA.

Overall, 16 athletes were honored from Independent institutions including IPFW, Chicago State, Longwood, North Dakota State, South Dakota State, Texas Pan American, UC Davis, and Utah Valley State.
