2008 Season Darryl Shank played in 21 of the IPFW's 27 matches during the season, seeing action in 48 sets. He totalled 39 kills including a career-high nine markers at George Mason on 3/29. Shank had three service aces vs. Quincy on 3/1, and had two matches with six digs; at Lewis on 2/15, and against Loyola on 2/29. Leads IPFW returning outside hitters in points (46.5). Hit a .571 attack percentage vs. Quincy on 3/1, his best with at least three kills. Named to the 2008 MIVA Conference All-Academic Team on 4/8/08 along with eight other men's volleyball athletes. High School Darryl Shank comes to IPFW from Saunders Secondary School in London, Ontario, Canada. With the Sabres, Shank was a three-time Quad-A Provincial Champion. He was also named Volleyball Most Valuable Player. A standout in the classroom as well as on the volleyball court, Shank graduated with an Award of Excellence.
