2010 Men's Tennis Summit League Preseason Poll

Elmhurst, IL- The IPFW men’s tennis team has been selected to finish fourth in the Summit League this spring, according to voting results from conference coaches.

The Mastodons finished behind the 2009 conference tournament champion UMKC, who was tabbed the conference favorite, followed by Oral Roberts and Western Illinois. Coincidentally, all four teams qualified for the conference tournament in 2009. The ‘Dons were placed ahead of state-foe IUPUI, South Dakota and Centenary.

Head coach Eric Burns welcomes back three returning letterwinners from last season: Felipe Gama, Luis Maselli and Luis Sanado. Francisco Sigaud returns from injury, and will likely play the number one singles position for the 'Dons this season. Junya Saruta and Eduardo Sztrajtman joins the 2010 IPFW roster, as both players have already seen time this season playing in both singles and doubles matches.

Next up for the men's team is an away match against Western Michigan tomorrow afternoon. Match time is set for 1:00 p.m. EST.
