Kalamazoo, MI - Western Michigan kept their early season record unblemished with a, 7-0 shutout of visiting IPFW in a non-conference men's tennis match on Sunday afternoon. The No. 59 Broncos improved to 3-0 by blanking not only IPFW, but Wright State, in action at the West Hills Athletic Club in Kalamazoo, Michigan. It was the first match of the season for the Mastodons (0-1), who up until this season, competed regularly against Western Michigan in the Mid-American Conference. The best match of the afternoon came at #3 singles as IPFW senior Nathan Jones battled WMU's Michael Calderone. Jones dropped a hard-fought first set, 6-4, then fell in the second set, 6-2. IPFW will return to action this Friday morning (1/18) at 9:00 a.m., hosting Cleveland State at the Pine Ridge Racquet Club. #59 Western Michigan 7, IPFW 0 Singles competition Doubles competition
