2009-2010 Season
Kanavos transferred to IPFW from Vincennes University, where he played as a freshman.

High School
As a member of the Munster Mustangs tennis team, Kanavos put together four solid years under head coach Steven Lopez. While at Munster, Kanavos earned 1st-team all-conference honors, 1st-team all-district honors, and all-state honorable mention each season from his sophomore to senior year. As a senior, Kanavos reached the Indiana State Finals in singles. He also received three letters in tennis from Munster.

Personal
Tony is the son of Thad and Marina Kanavos, and he has one brother, George. Tony is an Education major at IPFW.
