High School
Jenkins, a recent graduate from down the road at Homestead High School, will play next season for the Mastodons as a preferred walk-on. As a senior at Homestead, Jenkins and his Spartan squad earned a trip to the state finals, finishing in seventh place. On the way to the state tournament he won regional medalist honors in a one-hole playoff, shooting a three-over 75 to reach extra holes. Also in his senior season, Jenkins made top-10 finishes at the Wawasee Invitational, Warsaw Invitational, and Season Preview at the Legends.

Personal
Michael is the son of Peter Jenkins, and Jim and Lisa Zillman, and has a sister, Allison. Michael is studying Nursing at IPFW.
