2008-09 Season
Richie appeared in 21 contests for IPFW in the 2008-09 season. He averaged 2.3 points and 1.8 rebounds a game. He made 48.6% of the shots he took from the floor. Scored a season high 11 points vs. Eastern Illinois on Nov. 22. Pulled down a season-high eight rebounds in IPFW's win at Valparaiso on Dec. 10. He also played a season-high 26 minutes in that contest. Hit a season-high two 3-point baskets at UMKC on Dec.6.
Before Coming to IPFW
Aaron Richie transferred to IPFW from Central Michigan in the 2007-08 season. He had to sit outthat year due to NCAA Transfer Eligibility Rules.
With the Chippewas, Richie averaged 5.0 points per game his freshman year and 0.8 points a contest during his sophomore campaign. Richie was a standout locally at Bellmont High School. With the Braves he was named to the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association All-State Team. He earned an Honorable Mention nod on the Associated Press All-State Team and was listed as a Top 40 senior by the Hoosier Basketball Magazine, averaging 15.5 points, 7.0rebounds, and 5.0 assists a game.
Personal
Aaron is the son of Adrian and Connie Richie. He has a sister, Amanda and two brothers, Nathan and Austin. He is an Organizational Leadership and Supervision major at IPFW.
