2007-08 Season
Jakari Johnson played in 30 of IPFW's 31 games in the 2007-08 season, starting 13. Poured in a career-high 23 points against Marygrove College on Dec. 1. Scored 18 points against Valparaiso at the Memorial Coliseum on Nov. 15. Tossed in 17 points at Michigan State on Dec. 15. Registered a career-high field goal percentage of .857 (6-7) vs. Western Illinois on Feb. 21. Knocked down a season-high three 3-pointers at Michigan State. Was perfect from the foul line in three contests in `07-`08, Dec. 1 against Marygrove (4-4), Jan. 12 vs. Centenary College (5-5), and at UMKC (3-3) on Feb. 28.

Johnson pulled down a season-high seven rebounds against North Florida on Dec. 29 at the Hilliard Gates Sports Center. He also dished out a season high six assists in the same contest.

For the year, Johnson hit 45.5 percent from the floor (70-154), 30.9 percent from behind the arc (17-55), and 75.0 percent from the charity stripe (39-52). He averaged 6.5 points and 2.5 rebounds a game. He had 46 assists eight blocks, and 34 steals.

2007-08 Season
Johnson started 19 of IPFW's 29 contests in 2006-07. He averaged 6.6 points and 2.9 rebounds a game, but even more important was the improvement he made on the defensive side of the ball. He led the Mastodons in steals with 43.

Johnson scored a career-high 19 points at Air Force on Dec. 2. In that ball game, he hit five 3-pointers, also a career mark. Dished out a personal-best seven assists at Western Illinois on January 9. Stole a career-high five passes at Utah Valley State on February 3. Was a perfect 4-4 from the foul line in that same ball game. Logged a season-high 33 minutes at Southeast Missouri on November 29. Blocked a pair of shots at Valparaiso on January 22.

2005-06 Season
Johnson played in 18 of the Mastodons 28 games in 2005-06, averaging six minutes per contest. He shot 44.7 percent from the field while averaging 2.5 points per game. Johnson also averaged 1.1 rebounds a game from his guard position.

Johnson scored a career-high 12 points at Toledo University on November 30. That game also saw him hit a season-high two triples while going 4-4 from the foul line. He also had three steals in that same contest. Jakari hauled down a career-high nine rebounds vs. Marygrove College, at the Coliseum, on December 3.

Before Coming to IPFW
Johnson averaged 22 points, six assists, four steals, and three rebounds per game for the Ottawa Hills Bengals.

Johnson, who is a pure shooter with excellent leaping ability and good ball handling skills, was named to the Class A First Team Associated Press All-State Team. He is also a Grand Rapids Press All-Area Dream Team member. Johnson has been selected First Team All-City three years straight.
