2005-06 Season: Carouthers started all 28 games for IPFW in 2005-06. "Q" averaged 11.4 points per game while hauling down 3.8 rebounds a contest. He was second on the team in steals with 29. He dished out 29 assists while swatting 14 shots. Carouthers shot an outstanding 49-percent from the floor (133-271). Scored a career-high 23 points against North Dakota State (2/26). He also poured in 20 points in IPFW's 75-54 win over South Dakota State (2/22). Got his lone double-double of the season with 10 rebounds against the Bison on Feb. 26. 2004-05 Season: Carouthers shook of the effects of his red-shirt season to have his best year ever as a Mastodons. "Q" started all 29 of IPFW's games in 04-05, averaging 8.4 points and 3.7 rebounds a contest. Scored a season-high 19 points in IPFW's 71-63 win over Northern Colorado, at the Coliseum on 2/10/05. Scoring in double-figures eleven times during the year. Had a season-high 10 rebounds against Grand Valley State to open the season, on Homecoming. Averaged over 31 minutes a contest, while shooting 38-percent from the floor and 71-percent from the line. Carouthers was 4th on the team in scoring (8.4 ppg) and 3rd on the team in steals (23). 2003-04 Season: Carouthers, showed flashes of brilliance early on, but was lost to a season-ending shoulder injury against Bowling Green. Started five of the six games he played, Averaging 4.7 points per game with 3.2 rebounds. He Logged 26 minutes of action per contest, and shot 38 percent from the field. 2002-03 Season: Averaged 2.7 points and 1.5 rebounds a game. He played in all 30 games acquiring 14.1 minutes per game, starting seven. Carouthers scored a career/season high 10 points at UNLV (01/03 5-of-5 from the field). Scored in double digits against UNLV (01/02). Carouthers shot 29-of-80 (.363) from the floor and 3-of-22 (.136) from the arc. At the free throw line he was 19-of-29 (.655). During the 30 games, he collected seven blocked shots, 21 assists, and 23 steals. Before Coming to IPFW: Quintin played power forward at Flint Central High School. Was named All-City First Team, All-Saginaw Valley Conference First Team, and All-State Honorable Mention. |
