2007-08 Season
High expectations were placed on Ben Botts when he arrived at IPFW from Muncie Central, and the freshman did not disappoint. Botts was the Mastodons' fourth leading scorer, averaging 10.0 points a game. He also grabbed 2.0 rebounds a contest.

For a majority of the season, Botts was ranked as one of the most accurate 3-point shooters in Division I. He finished the campaign hitting on 45.3 percent (58-128) of his attempts from beyond the arc. He was just as accurate from the floor, averaging 46.0 percent (108-235). His 108 baskets was second best on the team (Burrows, 155).

From the foul line, Botts was an 80.4 percent free-thrower (37-46). He dished out 30 assists, had 27 steals and rejected one shot.

He had three 20+ scoring games in 2007-08. Botts poured in a career-high 21 points against Manchester at the Memorial Coliseum on Nov. 11. He also had 20 point efforts against Marygrove College on Dec. 1 and at Kent State on Dec. 20.

Had eight field goals in both the Manchester and Kent State contests. Was a career-high .833 from the floor at Wisconsin (5-6). Included in that game against the Badgers were four threes in five attempts (.800)

Botts hit five triples in two contests in `07-`08, both at the Coliseum vs. Marygrove and Manchester.

He was a perfect 4-4 from the foul line in two games, Feb. 9 at Oral Roberts and on Feb. 16 at Oakland. He was also a perfect 3-3 from the line at Nebraska on Nov. 11.

Botts hauled down a career-high six rebounds against North Dakota State on Feb. 2. He also had three assists and three steals on two occasions.
