2008 Season
VanDriessche started 49 of the 50 games in which he played in 2008, mostly at first base for the 'Dons. VanDriessche provided the long-ball power for the Mastodons, leading the team with nine round-trippers in 2008. That total placed him in a tie for fifth place in the Summit League. For the year, VanDriessche hit .287 with those nine homers and 29 RBI. He put togethera slugging percentage of .481 and was 1-2 in stolen base attempts.Scored a season high three runsatSouthern Utah on April3. 2007 Season
VanDriessche finished his freshman season hitting .359 with 4 home runs, 21 RBI's, and a .538 slugging percentage. One of VanDriesshe's home runs was a pinch hit 2-run home run against Michigan, who would go on to play in the Super Regional's.
High School
VanDriessche played his high school ball for Dave Bischoff at New Haven High School. He was named 1st Team All-NHC in baseball, as well as tennis. Shaun was also awarded an Academic Honors Diploma.
Personal
Shaun is the son of Mark and Julie VanDriessche. He has a brother, former Mastodon pitcher Ryan, and a sister, Katlyn. Shaun is majoring in General Studies at IPFW.
