2008 Season
Ransbottom made 17 relief appearances for IPFW in 2008. Worked 21.1 innings, striking out six.Best outing was against Notre Dame onApril 23 at Memorial Stadium. Entered the game after just two-thirds of an inning. Tossed 5.2 innings, giving up five hits and two runs. Had assists vs. Vermont on March 12 and Butler on March 25.

2007 Season
Ransbottom appeared in 12 games making one start with a 2-0 record. Matt picked up wins in relief roles against Northeastern and Grace.

High School
As a Tiger, Ransbottom pitched and manned 3rd base. He was named 1st Team All-NLC, as well as team MVP. He also received the Pitcher's Award in his senior season.

Personal
Matt is the son of Glen and Jennifer Ransbottom. He has one brother, Nickolas, and one sister, Bethany. While at IPFW, Matt is majoring in Organizational Leadership Supervision.
