2006 Season
Diem, in his first season with the Mastodons, posted a .277 batting average with three double and 11 runs batted in. Diem did not commit an error in the field, playing in 37 of IPFW's 49 contests, starting 17. He had 35 put-outs and one outfield assist (3/3 vs. Villanova). Had four multiple hit games in 2006. Scored twice on three different occasions (3/7 vs. Holy Cross, 4/12 vs. Ball State, and 4/28 vs. Grace College). Drove in a season-high two runs vs. Ball State on 4/12. Also had a stolen base in that contest. Registered a season-high five put-outs at Western Kentucky on 4/22. Transferred to IPFW after two seasons at Lincoln Trail Community College.
High School
Played outfield at Homestead High School, in Fort Wayne. Named All-Area, and All-Conference.
