Arnie Ball Announces His Retirement Following the 2015 Season

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Legendary IPFW head men's volleyball coach Arnie Ball has announced that he will retire following the 2015 men's volleyball season.
Ball has been at IPFW since the fall of 1981 where he served as head men's and women's volleyball coach. He coached the women until 1988, and compiled a 232-102-1 record in eight seasons as head coach. He has been the only coach in the men's volleyball program history, and has a 551-406 record of the men's program.
He has the fifth-most wins in NCAA Men's Volleyball history, and third-most among active coaches. He was a 2012 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Hall of Fame Inductee, and the 2007 AVCA National Coach of the Year.
He was honored three times with the MIVA Coach of the Year honors (1997, 1999, and 2007), and has helped guide IPFW to six NCAA Final Four appearances, including a National Runner-Up finish in 2007.
In addition to his coaching duties, Ball also served as IPFW Director of Athletics from 1987 until 1995.
