IPFW to Host 6th Annual Wheelchair Tennis Tournament

FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- The IPFW tennis program will co-host the 6th Annual IPFW Open Wheelchair Tennis Tournament this weekend along with the Turnstone Center for Children. This two-day event will begin on Saturday, June 1 at the Concordia Lutheran Fred Zollner Tennis Complex. Matches will get underway each day at 9 a.m.
The 2013 tournament includes 19 participants in three singles divisions and two doubles divisions. This is a USTA sanctioned, prize money tournament with a purse of $2500. The purse is donated by Dr. Rudy and Rhonda Kachmann. Additional sponsors for the event include Penn Station, Casa's, and Graham Shelter.
While matches are scheduled to be played outside, the action will continue inside at the Pine Ridge Racquet and Fitness Center if weather is a factor.
