Women’s Basketball Inks Two for 2012-13

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Head women's basketball coach Chris Paul added size to the 2012-13 roster with the signing of two talented student-athletes. Danielle Wilmoth and Alexis Richards are the newest members of the program as they signed National Letters of Intent to join the women's basketball program in the fall.
Danielle Wilmoth / LaGrange, Ohio
Wilmoth is a 6-4 center from LaGrange, Ohio that played for Keystone High School. She earned four varsity letters playing for the Wildcats leading the team to a 22-2 record during her senior season.
High school accolades for Wilmoth include being named second team all-conference and honorable mention All-Lorain County. Wilmoth was a Lorain County All-Star in 2012 and a Patriot Athletic Conference scholar athlete in the classroom.
Alexis Richards / Miami, Florida
Richards is a 6-0 forward from Miami, Florida that started in every single varsity basketball game during her four-year career at Miami Palmetto Senior High School. She led the team in scoring, rebounding, and blocks during her final three seasons as a Panther. This three-time team captain finished her high school career with over 1,000 points and 600 rebounds. She was a three-time All-Dade County selection as well as a three-time team MVP.
Richards was able to lead Miami Palmetto H.S. to a District Championship during her senior year. She also excelled in the classroom during her senior season as Richards was honored as a scholar athlete. Richards played basketball outside of Miami Palmetto H.S. as she also competed for the Miami Lady Express during the AAU basketball season.
