Men's Golf Adds In-State Prospect to 2012 Class

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Head coach Billy King and the IPFW men's golf program have signed Logan Barker to a National Letter of Intent, it was announced Thursday. Barker joins Drake Devereux and Oliver Gibson in the 2012 class.
Barker, a native a Martinsville, Ind., signed with IPFW after an impressive prep career for Martinsville High School. A four-year player for the Artesians, Barker was a three-time All-Mid State selection, helping his team to three-straight conference championships and back-to-back sectional titles.
In 2010, he qualified for the Indiana State High School Tournament, finishing in 26th place with a 36-hole total of 147. An active player on the Indiana State Prep Circuit, Barker has notched many top-10 finishes, including a tournament win at the Bushnell Big Red Showdown Plantation Tournament held at Indiana University.
Off the course, he received the Superintendent's Trophy Team award for academic and athletic excellence.
Along with the three newcomers, IPFW returns all five Summit League Tournament competitors for next season.
