Rudy Yovich enters his seventh year as Director of Athletic Media Services at IPFW. Yovich is responsible for the overall operation of the Athletic Media Services Department for IPFW's 16 Division I programs. He is the primary contact for men's basketball, baseball, men's cross country, and women's cross country.

He also has sport oversight for IPFW's cross country and track programs, as well as the spirit squad and pep band.

Prior to arriving at IPFW, Yovich was the Sports Information Director at Christian Brothers University (Memphis, Tenn.) At Christian Brothers, he was responsible for promoting the University's 13 athletic programs, including the 2002 NCAA Division II National Champion Lady Buccaneers Soccer Team. That team that included current IPFW head women's soccer coach, and NCAA record holder, Margaret Saurin. Yovich hosted a number of Gulf South Conference post season events and two NCAA regional championship events. While at Christian Brothers, Yovich also promoted women's soccer star Missy Gregg to the National Division II Honda "Woman of the Year" Award.

Yovich was also the Sales and Marketing Director for the Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League.

He was a former television sportscaster at WSEE-TV (CBS) in Erie, Pa. and also a sports talk radio host on WFNN-AM 1330 The Fan. Yovich currently does play-by-play for IPFW men's basketball and baseball.

A 1988 graduate of Edinboro (PA) University, he was a member of the Fighting Scots Men's Tennis Team. He holds a BA in Communications Studies from Edinboro and an MBA in Sport Management from Columbia Southern University.

Yovich is a member of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and serves on the organization's Radio/TV Liaison Committee. He is also a member of the United States Basketball Writers Association and the National College Baseball Writers Association.

Rudy, and his wife Timera, have two children; Nicholas (19) and Lauren (15) and reside in Fort Wayne.
